Home School and Special Needs Classes

Home School PE/Art Class

Join Y families that home shcool their children in a physical education program that develops the overall well-being of each child. Our program is open to all students, regardless of their school district or geographical location. Kids will be challenged one day each week with physical activities that focus on multiple areas of fitness.
Art Class includes creative fun, exciting and unique art projects.
The class follows the YMCA Session dates September - May.

Special Needs Activities Class

Tuesday 5:45 - 6:15 PM. Free to the Community. Ages 6 and older.
A time for children with special needs to work with their parents on fine and gross motor skills. Use of various shapes and sizes of balls, hoops, mats, and other objects will be used.
Parents will work with their own children and instructors.
The class follows the YMCA Session dates September - May.

Special Needs Swim Lessons

Tuesday 6:30 - 7 PM. Free to the Community. Ages 6 and older.
Designed for children with special needs with a focus on skills such as adapting to the aquatic environment, following directions, taking turns, patience, safety, water adjustments, playing and learning through games, and basic water skills.

Special Needs Gymnastics Class

Beginning January 8th, 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month, 11 -11:30am.
Designed for children with special needs with a focus on skills such as bui;ding coordination, following directions, taking turns, patirnce, safety, and learning through games in the gymnastics area. An adult must remain in the gymnastics center while the child is participating and may be asked to assist if necessary. Free to the public, pre-registration required.
